Love apple pie from loren martin

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
⅓ cup Tomato catsup
2 teaspoons Lemon juice
5 cups Sliced/peeled apples
\N \N (2 to 2-1/2 pounds)
¾ cup Granulated sugar
¾ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Ground allspice
⅓ cup Softened butter
1 \N Unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Blend ketchup & lemon juice; combine with apples. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until thoroughly mixed. Fill pie shell with apples; top with sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes, or until apples are cooked. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired. Makes one 9-inch pie.
