Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put the meat in a roasting dish with the wine, cloves, nutmeg. bay leaf, salt and pepper. Place the dish in the preheated oven and cook for 1½ hours, basting the meat fre- quently. Deglaze the cooking juices, season and serve with the sliced meat which can be garnished with chestnuts.
