Lamb pilaf (baranini pilaff)

Measure Ingredient
3 pounds Lamb breast, boned and cubed
3 tablespoons Butter
3 \N Onions, cut in half
¼ teaspoon Salt or more to taste
¼ teaspoon Black pepper
1½ cup Raw rice
4 cups Hot water

from:the wonderful World of cooking Saute lamb in butter for 5 minutes. Add onions, slt and peppers, stirring until very brown. Add water and rice. Mix. Cover. Bake at 300 deg for 2 hours. 6-8 servings.
