In 1 gallon water, boil malt, golden syrup, sugar and 1-½ ounce hops for 8 minutes. Add remaining hops and boil another 2 minutes. Pour into primary fermenter with 2 gallons water. Bring another gallon of water to a boil and add flaked maize. Turn off heat and ⅓ pack of BrewMagic. Let sit 10 minutes. Add another ⅓ pack of BrewMagic. Let sit 10 more minutes. Strain maize into primary fermenter, and rinse with cold water.
Discard maize. Fill primary to 5 gallon mark. This recipe comes from Craig McTyre at Wine & Brew By You. The Lyle's syrup is available in many grocery stores, usually located near the pancake syrup.
