Measure Ingredient
4 cups Sugar
¾ cup White Karo syrup
1 cup Boiling water
4 \N Egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 teaspoon Vanilla
\N \N Nuts

Mix sugar, syrup, and boiling water. Cook until it spins a thread.

Pour half into beaten egg whites. Do not stir. Cook until hard ball forms in cold water - just enough time to pour 1st half into the egg whites. Add vanilla. Beat until almost ready to set up. Add nuts and beat by hand until ready to set up. Pour onto a generously buttered platter. Cut into serving pieces when cooled.
