Jam cake

Measure Ingredient
1¼ cup Sugar
1 cup Butter
4 tablespoons Buttermilk, dissolved with
\N \N 1 tsp. of soda
1 cup Blackberry jam
2 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Allspice
4 \N Eggs
\N \N ICING:
6 tablespoons Cream
6 tablespoons Butter
2 cups Brown sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Mix the first 7 ingredients together, then add eggs one at a time.

Mix well and pour batter into 3 well greased and floured cake pans.
