Hough soup(aunt b's)

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Hough
1½ quart Water
1 large Carrot
1 ounce Sago
\N \N Piece of turnip
1 \N Onion
1 ounce Drippings
\N \N Pepper and salt to taste

Wash meat and cut up into cubes.Prepare vegetables,dicing turnip and carrot and slicing onion.Melt dripping in pan,put in meat and fry until browned.Fraw meat to side of pan,put in vegetables and brown.Sdd the water and seasoning and simmer for 3 hours.Strain soup,return to pan,stir in sago and boul until sago is swelled and cooked.Serve with snippets of toast.
