Homemade summer sausage

Ingredients

| 2 | pounds | Ground chuck |
| 2 | tablespoons | Morton's quick curing salt |
| ½ | teaspoon | Onion powder |
| ½ | teaspoon | Garlic powder |
| 1½ | tablespoon | Liquid smoke flavoring |
| 1 | cup | Water |
| 1 | teaspoon | Mustard seed |
| 1 | teaspoon | Crushed peppercorns |

Directions
Mix together with hands. Form into 3 sticks about the side of a half dollar. Wrap in foil an refrigerate for 24 hours. Unwrap and bake in 300 F oven for 1 hour in a shallow pan. Let cool 1 hour. Store in clean foil in refrigerator. Serve with crackers.
