Hearty chili

Ingredients

2poundsOnions sliced
6Garlic cloves, minced (or less)
6ouncesTomato paste (or use about 8 oz cream of tomato soup)
6cupsKidney beans
4ouncesGreen chili peppers, chopped (2 cans)
2tablespoonsChili powder
2teaspoonsOregano (or less)
¼cupOil

Directions

Saute onions in oil. Add ground beef and cook until brown. Add remaining ingredients including liquid from kidney beans.

Simmer covered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. (You may need to add more water during simmering.) NOTES:
