Yield: 18 Servings
|1 pack||(10 oz) frozen leaf spinach, thawed, drained|
|1½ pounds||Pork OR chicken, cut in bite-size pcs|
|1½ pounds||Boneless white fish, cut in bite-size pcs|
|1 teaspoon||MSG, optional *|
|2 tablespoons||Seasoned salt|
|1 \N||Cube butter or margarine, melted|
RECIPE FOR RICE COOKER
Cut foil into 6" pieces. Sprinkle MSG and seasoned salt over meat. Pour melted butter over fish. On each piece of foil place a piece of meat, fish, and a pinch of spinach. Fold over foil to form an envelope and seal. Place steaming plate into Hitachi Food Steamer and pour in ½ cup water. Arrange foil packages on top of steaming plate. Cover and cook until chime rings.
Serve hot, allowing each guest to unwrap his/her own lau laus. Time 15-20 minutes. MARY'S NOTES * I DON'T USE MSG!!! It causes an allergic reaction for many people. GRILL These can also be placed on the outside edges of your Weber grill and allowed to cook for 20-30 minutes (covered), while preparing other things on the grill.
