Harvest-time fruit salad

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Walnuts, chopped
4 cups Apples, quartered, sliced>>>
\N \N Thin. Peel if desired.
1 cup Thick sour cream
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 tablespoon Lemon juice, strained
1½ cup Celery, chopped
6 \N Red lettuce leaves
\N pinch Salt
\N \N Sprinkle of white pepper


In a medium bowl, combine walnuts with apple slices and chopped celery.

Add enough salad dressing to moisten the ingredients. Just before serving, spoon salad mixture onto salad plates covered with washed and drip-dried crisp lettuce leaves.

DELICIOUS SALAD DRESSING: In a small bowl, combine sour cream, sugar and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Chill, covered, for about one hour.
