1 cup | Butter; softened |
½ cup | Granulated Sugar |
1 cup | Light Brown Sugar; divided |
2 \N | Eggs; separated |
1 tablespoon | Water |
2 cups | Sifted Flour |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
¼ teaspoon | Salt |
¼ teaspoon | Soda |
1 teaspoon | Baking Powder |
1 pack | Chocolate Chips; (12 Oz.) |
Mix butter, granulated sugar, ½ cup brown sugar, beaten egg yolks, water, flour, vanilla, salt, soda and baking powder. Spread in greased oblong pan and sprinkle chocolate bit on top of this mixture. Beat egg whies and mix with 1 cup brown sugar. Spread thinly on top of chocolate bits and cover completely with waxed paper, having it touch the egg-white mixture. Bake at 350ø for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into squares when cool.
