Gedempte flaish with apricots

Ingredients

| 1 | pounds | Dried apricots |
| 4 | cups | Water |
| 2 | Onions -- minced | |
| 3 | pounds | Center-cut chuck |
| 2 | tablespoons | Fat |
| 1½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| 1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
| 2 | tablespoons | Brown sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
Directions
Wash the apricots and soak in the water for 1 hour. Brown the onions and meat in the fat. Add the salt, bay leaf, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon and undrained apricots. Coverand cook over low heat 2½ hours or until meat is tender. Remove bay leaf.
