4 \N | Water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped |
1½ tablespoon | Cornstarch |
1 \N | Egg, lightly beaten |
2 teaspoons | Worcestershire sauce |
¾ teaspoon | Salt Dash tabasco |
8 slices | Day-old firm white bread, crusts removed Oil for frying |
In bowl, combine crab, water chestnuts, cornstarch, egg, Worcestershire, salt, and tabasco. Cut each slice of bread into 4 triangles. Spread with crab misture. Preheat oil to 375 in deep fryer. Add bread triangles, crab side down. Fry 1 minute on each side. Drain on paper towels,; serve hot.
