|2 pounds||Fresh butter beans; (white or speckled)|
|1 pounds||Pickled pork meat|
|Salt to taste|
|1 medium||Chopped onion|
|½ pounds||Small okra|
Boil pickled pork meat about ½ hour. Add shelled butter beans, onions, salt and sugar in about 2 cups of water until beans are soft when mashed with finger. About 10 minutes before done add okra to beans and sprinkle with black pepper.
