French-style bean rounds

| 15 | ounces | Kidney Beans; Drained |
| 4 | tablespoons | Flour |
| 1 | tablespoon | Vegetable Oil |
| ⅓ | cup | Water |
| 1 | Clove Garlic; Crushed | |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Chili Powder |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| Vegetable Oil; For Frying | ||
| Grated Cheddar Cheese; Optional | ||
Directions
Combine well-drained beans, flour, 1 tbsp oil, water, garlic, chili powder, salt and pepper in a food processor. Blend until smooth. Heat skillet; brush with oil. Spoon ¼ cup batter at a time, spreading into a circle about 4" in diameter. Cook over medium heat until brown on bottom and dry on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese, if desired. Remove from griddle. Serve warm.
