Freezing chick peas

2 pounds To 2-1/2 lb in pods Makes 12 to 16 pints

Directions

1. Choose pods of young, tender chick peas.

2. Wash, shell, and wash again. 3. Blanch chick peas 2 to 3 minutes. Cool, drain well.

4. Tray freeze or pack into containers. Seal, label, and freeze.

5. Cook frozen chick peas 10 to 15 minutes.
