Frankfurter casserole

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Lima beans, dried
2¼ quart Water
3 teaspoons Salt
9 \N Frankfurters
2 \N Carrots, grated
2 tablespoons Butter
2 \N Strips bacon

Soak beans in 1½ quarts water for 2 to 3 hours.

Drain and add remaining water and simmer for 45 minutes.

Split 4 frankfurters in half lengthwise and arrange in bottom of casserole.

Mix carrots, beans and salt together and pour into casserole.

Lay remaining frankfurters over top, leaving them whole.

Dot with butter and lay bacon over frankfurters.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Uncover and bake 15-20 minutes longer or until bacon is crisp.
