1 cup | Butter or margarine |
1 cup | Granulated sugar |
½ cup | Brown sugar; packed |
2 \N | Eggs |
1 tablespoon | Grated orange peel |
2 teaspoons | Grated lemon peel |
2½ cup | All-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon | Baking soda |
1 teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
¼ teaspoon | Ground nutmeg |
1 pack | (12-oz) Dole raisins |
1 pack | (8-oz) Dole chopped dates |
Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs, orange and lemon peel.
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat into butter mixture until blended. Stir in raisins and dates. Drop by heaping tablespoon onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Spread slightly with back of spoon or fork.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-13 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen.
