Measure | Ingredient |

1 cup | Butter |
2 cups | Packed brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
2 \N | Eggs |
3 cups | Flour |
1 teaspoon | Baking soda |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
3 tablespoons | Unsweetened cocoa |
1 cup | Chopped nuts |
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add remaining ingredients except nuts; mix until well blended. (dough will be very stiff) Stir in nuts. Using lightly floured waxed paper, shape into six 8" X 1" rolls. Chill overnight. Cut into ¼" slices. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until firm to the touch. Yield 13 doz.
