Cinnamon loaf

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Crisco
2 \N Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Sour cream
¼ cup Milk
2 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Baking soda

Cream together 1 cup sugar and crisco until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Blend in sour cream and milk. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and soda, add to creamed mixture. Mix well, divide dough in half and set one half aside. Pour one bowl of batter into 2 small or one large loaf pan. Combine cinnamon and ¼ cup sugar and sprinkle all but one tablespoon of mixture over batter in the loaf pan (s). Top each loaf with remaining batter. Place a knife in the loaf pan and swirl through batter to create a marbelized effect. Top with remaining (tablespoon) of cinnamon and sugar mixute. Bake in a 350 degree oven 35-40 minutes for small loaves and 45 to 50 for large loaf, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
