Christmas cookies

Yield: 36 cookies

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Soft butter
¾ cup Brown sugar
½ teaspoon Vanilla
⅛ teaspoon Salt
2½ cup Flour - sifted
1 cup Almonds - sliced lengthwise
½ cup Each red and green cherries

Cream butter, add sugar and then add vanilla, salt and flour.

Finally add nuts and cherries and form into rolls. Leave in ice box overnight. Slice thinly with a sharp knife and bake on greased baking sheet in moderate oven (375 F) for 10 minutes.
