Chocolate-caramel chewies

Yield: 48 servings

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Butter or margarine --
\N \N Softened
½ cup Brown sugar
2 \N Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1½ cup Flour
¼ teaspoon Baking soda
¼ teaspoon Salt
1½ cup Pecans -- chopped
1 cup Milk chocolate chips
22 \N Caramel candy -- quartered

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; stir until smooth. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; stir until a soft dough forms. Stir in pecans, chocolate chips, and caramel pieces. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool slightly on pan; trasnfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container. Yield: about 4 dozen cookies.
