Chocolate cherry cordial muffins

Yield: 12 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups All-purpose flour
2 cups (11 1/2 oz pkg) Nestle Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels, divided
¼ cup Light brown sugar; firmly packed
¼ cup Granulated sugar
2 teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Chopped candied cherries maraschino cherries OR raisins
¾ cup Milk
⅓ cup Vegetable oil
1 \N Egg

In large bowl, combine flour, 1¾ cups morsels, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in cherries. In small bowl, combine milk, oil and egg until well blended. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients; stir just until moistened. Spoon batter into 12 greased or paper-lined muffing cups; muffin cups will be full. Sprinkle with *remaining* ¼ cup morsels.

Bake in preheated 375F oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden.

Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pan; serve warm, or cool completely on wire rack.
