Chocolate celebration cake

Ingredients

2⅓cupSifted flour
1pack(4-oz) instant chocolate pudding
1teaspoonSalt
1teaspoonSoda
cupBrown sugar; firmly packed
cupButter
1cupButtermilk or sour milk
3Eggs
1teaspoonVanilla
1pack(6-oz) chocolate morsels
¼cupChopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

Sift flour with instant pudding, salt and soda. Add brown sugar, butter and buttermilk. Beat 1-½ minutes with mixer on low speed. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat 1-½ minutes. Turn into three greased and floured 8-inch round pans. Use about 1-½ cups batter per pan. Sprinkle chocolate morsels over layers. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. Cool. Frost and decorate with walnuts.
