Chived mashed potatoes

Measure Ingredient
1½ cup Hot water
½ teaspoon Salt
⅛ teaspoon Pepper
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine
½ cup Milk or light cream
1½ cup Instant mashed potato flakes
⅓ cup Sour cream
¼ cup Finely chopped parsley
3 tablespoons Freeze-dried chives
1 Egg, slightly beaten

1. Combine water, salt, pepper and butter in a deep, 1½-quart heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.

2. Heat uncovered, in Microwave Oven 4 minutes or until mixture boils.

3. Add milk.

4. Stir in potato flakes with a fork.

5. Stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.

6. Heat uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 minutes or until heated through.
