Chinese barbecued pork chops

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
6 \N Pork chops
3 tablespoons Barbecue sauce (tomato based)
3 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Dry sherry, gin, whiskey, brandy or rum
3 tablespoons Dark soy sauce or 2 tb oyster sauce
½ teaspoon Five spice powder
½ teaspoon Salt
1 \N Garlic clove, mashed.

Mix all the marinade ingredients together and pour over pork chops.

Marinate for 3-4 hours in refrigerator or for ½ hour unrefrigerated.

Barbecue pork chops for 15 minutes on each side, basting with leftover marinade every few minutes. Serve 4-6. Can substitute chicken.
