Cherry sorbet

Ingredients

| 1 | cup | Water |
| ⅓ | cup | Sugar |
| 1½ | pounds | Cherries, pitted |
| ¼ | cup | Lemon juice |
| 1 | tablespoon | Cherry brandy, optional2 |
| 2 | tablespoons | Maraschino cherries, diced, optional |
Directions
Combine the water, sugar & pitted cherries in a non-corrosive pot & bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat & let cool. Puree the mixture in a food processor or blender & strain through a fine sieve to remove the skins. Combine this mixture with the rest of the ingredients. Freeze following the instructions for making Lemon Sorbet.
