Cheesecake dessert squares

Yield: 16 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup All purpose flour
⅓ cup Butter, softened
⅓ cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup Walnuts, chopped
1 pack Cream cheese (8oz), softened
¼ cup Sugar
1 Egg
2 tablespoons Milk
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
½ teaspoon Vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350F degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, butter, and brown sugar. Using a mixer, blend until ingredients form fine particles.

Stir in walnuts. Save 1 cup of mixture for topping. Press remainder into bottom of ungreased 8x8x2 inch pan. Bake at 350F degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.

In same bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, and blend well. Spread over partially baked crust in 8 inch pan. Using the one cup of reserved crumb mixture, sprinkle on top of cream cheese mixture.

Put pan back into oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool; cut into squares.
