Char's vanilla-butternut pound cake (corrected)

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Sugar
3 cups Flour
1 cup Margarine
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Shortening
1 cup Milk
5 \N Eggs
2 tablespoons Vanilla-butternut flavoring

Cream sugar, shortening and margarine. Add eggs, beat after each addition.

Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased tube or loaf pans and place in a cold oven. Set temperature to 350°F and bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes without opening oven door until time is done. Remove from pan immediately.

Makes 2 loaves. If using glass pans, don't bake for quite as long.
