Carolyn's smothered steak

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Round Steak
Salt & Pepper to taste
Garlic Powder
1 can Campbells French Onion Soup
1 can Sliced mushrooms.

In a large skillet brown steak with salt, Pepper and garlic powder to taste. Pour off excess fat. Add 1 can of Onion soup (not the dry package kind), 1 can of water, and 1 can of mushroom pieces with the juice. Cover and simmer until the steak is tender (about 1½ hours). Remove steak from pan and thicken juice with flour to make a gravy. Put steak back into gravy and serve with either Mashed Potatos, Rice or Egg noodles.

Makes about 6 servings and is very quick and easy to do.
