Cajun rice and beans

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Chopped onion
1 Clove minced garlic
1 can (8-oz) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons Oil or shortening
1 can (15-oz) pinto beans
3 cups Hot cooked rice

In large skillet cook onions, peppers and garlic in fat until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, beans and salt; simmer 10 minutes. Serve over beds of rice.
