Cajun rice and beans

Ingredients

| 1 | cup | Chopped onion | 
| 1 | Clove minced garlic | |
| 1 | can | (8-oz) tomato sauce | 
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt | 
| 1 | cup | Chopped green pepper | 
| 2 | tablespoons | Oil or shortening | 
| 1 | can | (15-oz) pinto beans | 
| 3 | cups | Hot cooked rice | 
Directions
In large skillet cook onions, peppers and garlic in fat until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, beans and salt; simmer 10 minutes. Serve over beds of rice.
