Buttery almond cookies

Yield: 60 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1⅔ cup Almonds
1¼ cup Flour
¼ cup Sugar
1 cup Butter; softened
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Sifted powdered sugar; Opt.

Whirl almonds in blender until finely ground. In a bowl mix together flour, sugar and ground almonds; with fingers work in butter and vanilla until mixture cleans bowl. Chill about 1 hour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 oven 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar, if desired. Cool on wire rack.
