Broiled scallops w/lemon

Measure Ingredient
2 pounds Scallops, bay OR ocean
\N \N Salt and pepper
6 \N Basil leaves, chpd OR 1t dry
2 \N Rosemary sprigs OR 1/2 t dry
1 \N Lemon, thinly sliced
\N \N Tabasco to taste
¼ cup Veg oil

Bay scallops remain whole. Ocean scallops, halve. Place in bowl with remaining ingreds and marinate 2 hrs or longer. Remove and arrange in one layer in baking dish. Broil 3 mins, turn and broil 3 mins longer until barely cooked through. Don't overcook or they will toughen.
