Breaded veal (wiener schnitzel)

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
4 Veal steaks
Salt and pepper
Flour
1 Egg beaten with one tablespoon water
1½ cup Bread crumbs
3 tablespoons Shortening (up to 4)
Lemon wedges

We lived in Germany for 3 years and I bought a cookbook while we were there. It's called Authentic German Home Style Recipes. I'm sorry I didn't find the two recipes that you wanted. But I thought i'd send this one, it was our very favorite while we were there.

Beat steaks until thin and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dip into flour, then egg mixture, and finally, bread crumbs. Fry in shortening until brown on both sides. Garnish with lemon wedges.
