Blue cheese potatoes au gratin

4largesPotatoes (2 1/2 lbs) peeled
And
Sliced 1/4\" thick
1cupHeavy cream
1cupMilk
2tablespoonsGarlic, finely chopped
½teaspoonSalt
¼teaspoonPepper
teaspoonNutmeg
6ouncesBlue cheese
2slicesWhite bread, coarsely
Crumbled

Directions

Combine potatoes, cream, milk, garlic, spices and ½ cheese. Simmer 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put in an 8" square buttered baking dish and top with cheese and bread crumbs. Bake at 350F 35-40 minutes until potatoes are fork tender and top is browned.
