Beef satay marinade

2Garlic cloves, crushed
1tablespoonBrown sugar
cupSoy
2teaspoonsPeanut oil
½teaspoonBlack pepper
½teaspoonRed pepper flakes or vietnamese red chile sauce
¼cupCoconut milk
1teaspoonSesame oil
1tablespoonFish sauce

Directions

Marinate thinly sliced meat (like flank) for several hours. Put on skewers and grill over hot coals until browned. Goes well with hot mustard, peanut sauce or nuoc cham (that's cham--not mam).
