2 tablespoons | Vegetable oil |
1 cup | Basmati rice |
2 \N | Cinnamon stick |
2 \N | Cloves |
1 \N | Bay leaf; crumbled |
⅔ cup | Raw cashews; toasted |
⅓ cup | Raisins |
Cook onion over low heat until tender. Add rice, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, cashews, raisins. Cook for 2 minutes. Add 2 cups of water; cover.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
