Baked marinated onions

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 xes Sweet spanish onions(10oz)
¼ teaspoon Sugar
1½ teaspoon Italian herbs
⅛ teaspoon Black pepper
⅓ cup White wine vinegar
¾ cup Vegetable oil
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 x Chopped parsley

Peel onoins and cut crosswise into ½" thick slices. Arrange slices in a

single layer in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients except parsley and blend well. Pour over onions and let stand at room temperature for 2-3 hours or overnight. Pour off marinade and reserve. Cover onions and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake another 10 -15 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve hot over hamburgers.
