Apricot nut loaf

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Shortening
1 \N Egg
¾ cup Milk
¾ cup Orange juice
4 teaspoons Grated orange rind
3 cups Flour
3½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 cup Finely chopped dried apricots
¾ cup Chopped nuts

Combine sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in milk, juice and rind. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and add to other mixture. Combine apricots and nuts; add to batter. Pour into greased loaf pan and let stand 20 minutes.

Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
