Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Brown sugar |
| ½ | cup | (good) butter |
| 3 | Eggs, beaten | |
| 2 | tablespoons | Hot water |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 3½ | cup | Flour, sifted |
| 1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
| 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
| pinch | Salt | |
| 1 | cup | Nuts, chopped |
Directions
Mix butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, water and vanilla. Beat well. sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to mixture and stir in nuts. Pat into wafers with fingers and bake in a hot oven about 10 minutes.
