Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Chopped raw almonds
1 cup Cooked brown rice
1 cup Cooked lentils
1 tablespoon Soy sauce
1 teaspoon Dried oregano, crushed
¾ teaspoon Dried thyme, crushed
¼ teaspoon Black pepper
½ cup Grated carrot (1 carrot)
1 cup Rolled oats

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toast almonds in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until a deep golden brown. Watch carefully, they burn easily. Combine rice, lentils, soy sauce, oregano, thyme, black pepper in a food processor until smooth. Place mixture in a bowl and add grated carrot, rolled oats and toasted almonds; mix thoroughly.

Form mixture into 8 (¼ cup) patties. Spray a skillet with nonstick spray and heat until a drop of water dances on the surface. Place patties in skillet and cook until lightly browned on both sides. Each patty contains about 124 calories, 3 gm fat. Submitted By BARRY WEINSTEIN On 04-05-95
