|2 tablespoons||Vegetable oil|
|1¼ cup||Mushrooms, sliced|
|1 cup||Pepperoni, sliced|
|1||Sweet green pepper, chopped|
|1½ teaspoon||Dried oregano|
|14 ounces||Canned tomato sauce|
In skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion, mushrooms, pepperoni, green pepper and oregano, stirring often, for 5 minutes or until onion is softened.
Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper; cook for 3 minutes or until boiling.
Meanwhile, in large pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti for 8-10 minutes or until tender but firm. Drain well and return to pot.
Add sauce; toss to coat well.
Per serving: About 605 calories, 20 g protein, 24 g fat, 77 g carbohydrate, very high in fibre, good source iron.
