Zama de pasole verde (green string bean soup)

| 2 | pounds | String beans, cut |
| 3 | pounds | Spring chicken, cut up |
| 2 | tablespoons | Lard |
| 1 | x | Onion,large,chop & saute |
| 1½ | tablespoon | Flour |
| 1 | teaspoon | Red pepper |
| 1 | x | Garlic clove |
| 1 | cup | Onion, small, minced |
| 1 | x | Parsley, and dill,chop fine |
| 3 | quarts | Water |
Directions
Place lard, onion and flour in a pot, saute, add red pepper, water, chicken and cook. Cook cut up green beans, garlic, and onion in 4 ounces water separately for a half hour, then add to chicken pot and cook for 45 min or more. Add parsley and dill last.
