Wild rice stuffing for salmon

Ingredients

¾cupWild rice
3tablespoonsButter
1largeOnion, chopped
4eachesStalks celery, chopped
½cupRed bell pepper, chopped
½poundsMushrooms, sliced
cupCroutons
½cupPecans, toasted
3eachesTbps sherry
3tablespoonsSoy sauce
1tablespoonFresh (or 1 tsp dried) thyme
1tablespoonChopped fresh (or 1 tsp dried) basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Put rice in 2½ cups boiling water, simmer 30 - 40 minutes.

Melt butter in saucepan, Saute onion, mushrooms, celery, red pepper until tender. Add croutons, and wild rice.

Combine the rest of ingredients and add to the above.
