cupUnsweetened cocoa powder
1tablespoonBaking powder (high altitude; 2 tsp.)
¼teaspoonSalt
½cupButter or margarine
1cupMini semisweet choc. chips
½cupMilk
1cupHeavy cream
¼cupGranulated sugar

Date: Tue, 11 Jun 1996 21:11:37 -0400 From: Linda Robinson <CatRescuer@...> Sprinkle 2 Tblsp. sugar over fruit. Set aside. Stir together next five dry ingredients. Cut in butter slowly till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in chocolate chips. Add milk and stir till moistened. On a floured surface, roll dough ½" thick. Cut into 3" circles. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 450x F for 10 minutes, or till puffed. Beat heavy cream and ¼ c. sugar. Top shortcakes. Yield: approximately 8.
