Uncle charlie's chocolate shortcake w/fr

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ pint Berries -or-
2 \N Kiwis (or any soft fruit)
2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
1⅓ cup Flour
½ cup Granulated sugar
⅓ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon Baking powder (high altitude; 2 tsp.)
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Butter or margarine
1 cup Mini semisweet choc. chips
½ cup Milk
1 cup Heavy cream
¼ cup Granulated sugar

Stir in chocolate chips. Add milk and stir till moistened. On a floured surface, roll dough ½" thick. Cut into 3" circles. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 450x F for 10 minutes, or till puffed. Beat heavy cream and ¼ c. sugar. Top shortcakes. Yield: approximately 8.
