Tina's hearty roast beef

Measure Ingredient
1 3to4 lb.roast
3 cups Water
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
2 Bayleaves
3 Beef boulion cubes

Brown roast in oil. Drain off any excess oil. Add water boulion cubes, salt, pepper and bayleaves. Add carrot chuncks and sliced onions. Bring to boil while covered, turn downto a low simmer for 2 to 3 hours or untill tender. Thicken juices to make gravy.
