Sugar cut-out cookies

Ingredients

| ½ | cup | Soft shortening |
| ¾ | cup | Sugar |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 1 | tablespoon | Milk or cream |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla or lemon extract |
| 1¼ | cup | Flour |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
Directions
Mix together shortening, sugar, and egg. Stir in milk and extract. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
Chill dough. Roll thin (1/16"). Cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Frost and decorate.
