Stewed fresh tomatoes

2 pounds Tomatoes; peeled
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
4 \N Green onions; chopped
1½ teaspoon Sugar
1½ teaspoon Garlic salt
¼ teaspoon Seasoned pepper

The Good Housekeeping Illustrated Cookbook had this recipe for Cut tomatoes into wedges. In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot butter or margarine, cook green onions 1 minute. Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients; cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
