Steamed rice, foolproof method

Ingredients

| 1 | cup | Long grain rice |
| 2 | cups | Water |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
Directions
Combine rice and cold water with salt in a medium saucepan. Cook uncovered until it comes to a boil. Stir once. Lower fire as much as possible. Cover rice. Cook 14 minutes. Do not lift cover. Remove from heat and allow to stand 5 minutes before lifting cover. Serves 4.
